Free of charge Health Centre desired by Professor Emanuele and named after his father opens in the ex-Zen neighbourhood in Palermo.
Created by Fondazione Terzo Pilastro – Internazionale in collaboration with the Associazione Laboratorio Zen Insieme and the Istituto Autonomo Case Popolari (Independent Institute for Housing) of Palermo, in the San Filippo Neri (ex Zen) neighbourhood is ahealth centre that provides free-of-charge primary healthcare services to the neediest section of society in order to counter the widespread forms of ‘healthcare poverty’ exacerbated by the pandemic. The centre is dedicated to the memory of Doctor Eugenio Emanuele, father of the Chairman of Fondazione Terzo Pilastro Professor Emmanuele F.M. Emanuele, “For what he did during his life in the field of healthcare in support of the most socially disadvantaged people”.
