This multi-year project, developed by the Fondazione Terzo Pilastro in collaboration with the historical Musumeci Greco Arms Academy in Rome, aims at promoting the sport of fencing as a tool for the social integration of individuals with disabilities, also through Olympic and Paralympic fencing classes. The flagship event of this project is the annual fencing marathon between athletes with disabilities and those without, which the Academy and the Foundation have brought to the most beautiful squares in Rome on an annual basis since 2011.
FENCING & CULTURE stems from the “Fencing Without Limits” project of the Musumeci Greco Arms Academy and was created through the collaboration of the Musumeci Greco Arms Academy with the Educational Services of the Roman National Museum (Palazzo Altemps), then followed by the Baths of Diocletian Museum and, finally, with the Palazzo Massimo Museum.
