The Circolo Canottieri Aniene is one of the oldest rowing clubs in Rome. Last year, they celebrated their 128th anniversary. The club is very present in competitions and boasts important results and numerous titles in various Italian team championships. Thanks to the long-term support of the FondazioneTerzo Pilastro, the club has vested in social issues by spreading the concept of inclusion and introduction in sports for the disabled.
The Club’s sports facilities do not have architectural barriers. Several are equipped with mobility aids, such as a mobile pool lift purchased in 2017 with the support of the Foundation.
The Foundation also sustained the costs for creating a space in the indoor swimming pool area for fencing, an important, highly-decorated sport in Italy.
