Donation of a cutting-edge research instrument to Fondazione Biogem: Fondazione Terzo Pilastro bore the expense of equipping the facility with a two-photon electron microscope, which allows (non-invasive) cellular and subcellular investigations on live animals.

Fondazione BioGem (Institute of Biology and Molecular Genetics): Fondazione Terzo Pilastro has joined Fondazione Biogem in synergy with important universities and research centres such as the University of Naples Federico II, the Bicocca University of Milan, the University of Sannio, the Stazione Zoologica ‘Anton Dohrn’ in Naples and the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (National Research Council).
