Thanks to the support of the Fondazione Terzo Pilastro, the Istituto Jacques Maritain, along with the University of Basilicata, has established the “Peace and dialogue between the cultures and religions of the Mediterranean Maritain” course, which aims at being an instrument towards the comprehension and understanding of the religions and cultures of the Mediterranean. It is a far-reaching project that entails a great commitment both in the field of education and in the dissemination and promotion of cultures on a national and international level. The venue chosen for the course is the University of Basilicata in Matera, a city that was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the 2019 European Capital of Culture.
